Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you display the California Prop 65 warning?
You might see this warning and think, “Oh no! Lead! I don’t want ANY lead!” It's important to remember that lead is naturally occurring and it's impossible to completely eliminate from food that grows in the ground.
Sometimes, food that grows in the ground can absorb trace amounts of heavy metals like Lead, Cadmium, and Arsenic from the soil. While these heavy metals are naturally occurring and can't be entirely removed, we are committed to sourcing the best ingredients available. At JT Power Co., this means finding ingredients that naturally test low for heavy metals. We say "test low" because complete elimination isn't possible, but we thoroughly vet our suppliers to ensure our ingredients meet our strict standards.
We carefully select our suppliers and ingredients, and each ingredient undergoes an analysis with a final report called a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Please feel free to reach out to us at info@jtpowerco.com if you would like to see our COA.
Where are your ingredients sourced from?
We pride ourselves on sourcing high-quality ingredients from around the world:
Organic Pea Protein: Grown and sourced in the U.S.
Organic Rice Protein: Sourced from a U.S. supplier and grown in China, which is known for some of the best quality rice globally.
Monk Fruit: it;s a plant native to China, where it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Our monk fruit is a high-quality 30% mogroside extract.
Organic Psyllium: Sourced from a U.S. supplier, grown in India.
Organic Cacao: Processed in Switzerland.
Vanilla extract Powder: grown in Madagascar, sourced from a U.S. supplier.
You seem to have organic ingredients, but don't have USDA organic certification. Why?
All of our ingredients are organic, with the exception of our vanilla extract (please see more info below). While we source all our ingredients from USDA certified suppliers, and each ingredient holds its own USDA organic certificate, a separate USDA certification is required for the final product. This is a long and costly process that we have already begun. We were so excited to share our recipe with you that we decided to launch the product even before completing the full certification process. We are actively working towards obtaining our USDA organic certification. Stay tuned for more info soon! Send us an email if you want to see our organic certificates at info@jtpowerco.com
Why is your vanilla extract not certified organic?
We spent countless of hours searching for the perfect vanilla extract. All the organic certified extracts have either sugar, sucralose, some type of gums or other additives as carriers. We opted for a non-certified, but high quality vanilla powder with no additional additives. Remember, our goal was a minimum ingredients and we didn’t want to add additional things on the list and we certainly didn’t want to add sugar!
